Do you want to stage a 'ROCK EISTEDDFORD' style dance performance with all of the students participating in it.? And, would you like to present your school’s dance performance for a special occasion in front of parents, grandparents, other classes and special guests?
Over 20-year experience of working with young people has assisted the Company in the creation of 'Dance, Move & Groove' workshops. That is why this program utilises a fresh outlook on dance and is aimed at the dance preferences of youth (e.g. Hip Hop, Funk, Cha Cha performed to Latin Pop, Jazz, Cheerleading, Bollywood or Party Dance and more). 'Dance, Move & Groove’ workshops have been designed for schools that would like to stage a contemporary dance performance during a day of significance, such as celebrating school anniversaries, end of the year concert, responding to the initiative of education or dance week.
All of dance forms are dynamic and change with time and place. Dance from different epochs offers a way of knowing oneself, other people and the world. The participants will be made aware of the meaning or purpose of dance and they will be taught in a way that is respectful to each form.
On the day of the workshop, every group participating will be provided with all necessary written and recorded material to enable teachers to successfully prepare students for their participation in performance.
After the dance workshop, students under supervision of their teachers will; make simplified versions of costumes, prepare and provided your school’s performance by themselves, enhance their dance abilities, have a daily dance practice.
Additionally, by daily practice of the dance learnt, this program will help teachers in their task of providing their pupils with daily 30 minutes physical activity.
Dance, Move & Groove
During this program, every group will learn one pre-choreographed dance where each routine represents different dance style. The dances have been choreographed to suit any group size and can be moulded to reflect students’ movement and learning abilities.
The 'Dance, Move and Groove' program uses written notes and the teachers in every group will receive copy of the dance steps and the choreography.
In addition, due to the varying levels of students experience in dance, occasionally, choreography or the steps may changed to care for the groups needs. However, Dance Nova guarantees that at the end of the workshop the majority of students will know the dance steps and the choreography.
